About us

The Crawley Campaign Against Racism was formed as a broad based organisation, which includes all kinds of people in the common fight against racism. Our members come from a wide variety of political and religious persuasions. We are united in the belief that people should be judged by the way they behave, rather than by their religion, the colour of their skin, their ethnic origin, the country of their birth or the language they speak. Racism, whether intentional or unintentional, is essentially evil and any society which allows it to go unchallenged is itself evil.

We believe absolutely in the right of an individual to know and experience his/her cultural heritage. This has led us to support practical initiatives in the education field, designed to identify and remove barriers which hinder that right. As an ongoing testament of our belief, we organise an International Evening each year in which Crawley celebrates its multi-cultural richness.
